The first team to fire on day two of the Champion of Champions competition was Alan Hillary Pyrotechnics, winners back in 2004. We arrived early but were beaten to it by all four teams who were already busy setting up. Alan Hillary had the spot closest to land, remarkably clean after the previous night's displays.

The team advised us they were going to use a wide variety of effects including shaped shells, half and half shells, crossettes, bees, comet chasers and mines. New colours would include aqua, and shells would be up to a massive 300mm in size.

Back at the spectator area and this was a first class display which the audience appreciated. It earned the team a creditable second place in the competition! Well done and a big thanks to the very busy team for speaking to us and letting us take pictures for our members to enjoy.
