Thank you for expressing an interest in joining this site! Joining is as simple as completing three easy steps which I will detail below. I'll also run through a few important points you need to know when joining. Please take a few minutes to read this page because it answers most queries that new members might have.

In Step 1 (the next section) you'll create a username and password which you will use to access the members' content. You'll also confirm acceptance of the membership terms and conditions. Your chosen username and password will be confirmed to you by e-mail.

Please keep a copy of your confirmation e-mail and remember that usernames and passwords are case sensitive. It also contains a link to the secure payment page, in case your application was interrupted.

Remember, memberships are for you only and should never be shared with anyone else.

In Step 2, you'll be forwarded to the secure payment page with PayPal, where you will choose your membership option (three, six or twelve months) and make payment by credit or debit card. You do NOT need to be a member of PayPal to use their service, just have your card details ready.

Pick from three options: One year @ £19.99 - Six months @ £14.99 - Three months @ £9.99

I only accept payment on-line by debit or credit card. Sorry but I do not accept payment by cheque, PO or cash etc. because of the high charges incurred in processing these payments. Please note that I also do not accept PayPal "E-Cheques" as these are uncleared payments.

Confirmation of your payment will be made to you, by PayPal, by e-mail. Please note that I have no involvement in the processing of customer cards - I only receive confirmation that your payment was accepted.

The final stage is activation of your membership. Providing your payment is authorised by PayPal, most membership applications are activated within a few minutes. You will receive an e-mail to confirm when your account has been activated.

Quick activation of your membership is dependent on PayPal and UKFR being fully operational and communicating with each other. In the event of any system problems, net congestion etc. (which can and does happen from time to time) which might prevent "instant activation", all applications are followed up and manually checked. This is normally done within a few hours during office hours. Activation can only take place if your payment has been made, authorised and cleared.
