The Cakes & Barrages section is our biggest as this is the most common type of firework. From small effects up to massive fan cakes - something for every display (including quiet ones!).
Candles contain similar effects to cakes but the shots are stacked vertically. This section contains a range of candles from single shots to the mighty big bore barrages.
Everyone loves a good Rocket and in this section the value garden packs compete with rocket pods and huge £25-a-time sky fillers.
SIBS or "single ignition boxes" - sometimes called "displays in a box" are really just very big cakes. This section reviews fireworks claimed to give you a complete display!
Imagine the firepower of a cake but all in one big explosion - that's a Mine. Here we check out a range of mines from pretty fountain starts to huge mortars.
Pretty ground based effects in the Fountain section as we check out conics and multi effects. Some of these can be quite noisy!
A traditional favourite, see if this selection of Wheels lives up to the spin!
The Other sections has things like strobes, waterfalls and sparklers.
Or, see all of the above listed in our Full Index. An abbreviated list of all the current reviews, showing name, type, duration, price, effects summary and more. Use the powerful sorting, listing and filtering options to help narrow down your search.

HELP AND FURTHER INFORMATION
The review Info/Help section is a comprehensive guide to our reviews. It will show you how we review fireworks, what all the symbols in the reviews mean and how to interpret the information shown. Importantly, it also guides you through using the listing and filtering options in each section - essential tools to help you narrow down the reviews to those fireworks suitable for your display, or from a particular brand or supplier.
You can also access this help section from any review page by clicking on the option in the top menu bar.

When you are browsing the review sections, click on the key icon at any time to see a quick index of all the symbols and what they mean.

If you are a beginner and are struggling to understand some of the terms used, try our Info Bank which has a crash course in the main firework types. If any terms remain unfamiliar after reading this, our extensive Glossary should help you.

Once you've settled on your main fireworks, it's time to find a supplier or shop. Our Buy Fireworks section lists advertisers who support us. Remember - we don't sell fireworks ourselves so that we can remain independent and impartial.

To help plan your display, check out the Display Advice section, then brush up on your Safety.

If you've found our review summaries useful, or want to access the extensive members support material for them such as pictures and video, please consider joining. If you're already a member don't forget to have your say and leave a comment for the fireworks you've tried. This will help other readers find the best (or avoid the worst) fireworks.

Beware of a few firework retailers making fraudulent claims that we have reviewed and rated their items when we haven't. The only reviews we have published are the ones on-line here and in the archive section. Use only reputable suppliers and shops such as those in our Buy Fireworks section.
