SITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Thank you for taking a few minutes to read our site terms. Use of this website is considered as acceptance of our terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue your use of this site immediately.

GENERAL SITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

"UKFR" means this website, as does "us", "we", "our" etc. "You" refers to you, the reader.

All content is offered as our opinion only. Please note that fireworks do vary in performance. Our comments and video are indicative only of that specific item on test, at that time. Please also note that manufacturers can and often do change the specifications of their products. We accept no responsibility if a review becomes out of date as a result. Firework prices, durations, measurements and any other data supplied should only be taken as an approximation.

As enthusiasts, we want our site to be as accurate and as useful as possible to our readers. However, we are only human, and CAN make mistakes. Despite our clear and obvious best intentions we can accept no responsibility for any errors or inaccuracies in the content of this site.

Fireworks reviewed by us are only those which were legal for us to use at the time of testing, and carried the appropriate BS label. We should stress that we do not carry out any form of compliance testing nor are we qualified to do so. It is the responsibility of the firework supplier to ensure compliance to British Standards and the relevant authorities to police/check this. Where fireworks are demonstrated to us by a third party (eg. a manufacturer, importer or retailer), we take it in good faith that such products are genuine, but cannot accept any responsibility if they are not.

Comments made by members as review second opinions, or any other third party contributions, are accepted in good faith but we accept no responsibility for these, or their accuracy.

We accept no responsibility for the content of any third party websites linked to from UKFR by us or our members. In linking to a third party website we are in NO WAY endorsing it.

All material on this site is copyright UKFR, or is copyright to a specific author who has given us permission to publish and/or use their work, and may not be copied or used in any other medium, for any reason (commercial or otherwise) without our permission. In the case where we do not own the copyright to the source material, please be aware that WE OWN THE COPYRIGHT TO THE PUBLISHED FEATURE where we have collated, changed, enhanced, modified or otherwise edited the source material provided to us, and unlawful duplication of our work by any means is strictly prohibited.

Membership, use of the forum, and any services to the trade are subject to additional terms and conditions.

In the event of any query please contact us.

PRIVACY POLICY

We take your privacy very seriously. This is our privacy policy:

If you contact us by e-mail, we will not share your e-mail address with any other party for any reason, unless we are required to do so by law, or we are acting in the interests of our site or its protection. We no longer compile an e-mail newsletter list from incoming e-mail addresses, all such services are now "opt in" and not "opt out".

If you join our website, your card details are processed and stored by a third party company by secure server. UKFR does not, and cannot, access your credit/debit card details (and we accept no responsibility therefore for issues relating to the processing of your card).

If you join our website we reserve the right to contact you by e-mail, irrespective of your newsletter preferences, to communicate the following information: Confirmation of your access details, confirmation of your payment or membership, password reminders (where requested by you), notification of cancellation or expiry of your membership, or any other matter that we consider important to our paying members.

We do not compile or store a database of member's personal data for any reason except as required by law for invoicing and accounting purposes. Our opt-in newsletter database is an e-mail list only.

In using this site as a general "reader" (ie. not a paying member) we collect what is called "industry standard" information such as your IP address, your browser, your screen resolution, and our server logs all access to our content. We will only share information on our site that cannot identify you personally, except as noted below. For example, we run a hit counter and other visitor stats, to show which parts of our site are being used, and we may share this information with other readers or trade customers. Some parts of our site which are third party scripts use cookies, for example the Gallery and the Forum.

In using this site as a paying member, we log information as noted above in addition to your member ID (ie. all use of the members area is logged to your ID). Again, we will not share information that is specific to YOU in any way, except as noted below.

EXCEPTIONS: If your use of our site is breaking any of our terms and conditions, if your use of our site is illegal or causes us concern, if you share your member ID, or any other activity that is against the interests of our site, we reserve the right to disclose information about your use of this site to the relevant authorities or ISP or any other party helping us to resolve such matters.
