Manufacturers frequently update their ranges, change firework effects or bring out new products. Existing reviews can therefore become out of date. When this happens, or our material is simply tired and no longer useful, the review is retired to the Vault where it can spend its remaining days being cared for with other has-been reviews.
By keeping this old material on-line rather than deleting it, we hope these records will serve two purposes. Firstly, they will provide useful information for anyone buying old stock (eg. items left over from previous seasons). Secondly, it will provide a virtual on-line museum, showing what fireworks were like going back to 1997! Have fun.

The Cakes section is still our biggest even in the Vault as this is the most common type of firework. Marvel at items that used to make us go "Wow!" and genuinely did frighten the s**t out of next door's cat.
Candles contain similar effects to cakes but the shots are stacked vertically. This section contains a range of candles from single shot to the mighty big bore barrages. Relive those airbomb moments!
Everyone loves a good Rocket and in this section the value garden packs compete with rocket pods and huge £20-a-time sky fillers and change-your-pants maroon rockets that have now been banned.
SIBS or "single ignition boxes" - sometimes called "displays in a box" are really just very big cakes. This section reviews fireworks claimed to give you a complete display!
Imagine the firepower of a cake but all in one big explosion - that's a Mine. Enjoy mines of bygone Guy Fawkes.
Pretty ground based effects in the Fountain section as we blow the dust off some items we enjoyed in our better years!
A traditional favourite, see if this selection of Wheels lives up to the spin!
The Other section has fireworks that don't fit anywhere else.
Or, see all of the above listed in our Full Archive Index. An abbreviated list of all the archived reviews, showing name, type, rating, price, effects summary and more. Use the powerful sorting, listing, filtering and nostalgia options to help narrow down your search.
